Independent technology advisory

Independent technology advisory

Your company’s security level already has a number. Nobody has ever shown it to you.

The point

No company has technology goals.

It has goals. Open an office, integrate a newly acquired company, let people work from anywhere, answer a client asking for guarantees before renewing, bring back under control a cost that grew unnoticed.

Technology is how you get there. The hard part is not choosing it: it is keeping it standing while the rest of the business continues to work.

That is what NEOSS is for. We take a company from where it is to where it wants to be — and keep it there while that point moves.

How it changes

Infrastructure is never finished. It is kept.

An environment designed well three years ago now has protocols that should be disabled, unsupported systems, permissions layered by people who no longer work with you and a licensing agreement nobody has reopened.

This is not decay, and it is rarely anyone’s fault. The ground moved: a regulation that did not apply before, a tool that did not exist, a client asking new questions, two hundred more people.

That is why we do not deliver a project and leave. We measure, intervene and measure again — because the comparison between two readings says more than any final report.

How we work

Four stages, always the same.

01

Measure

Start with data, not an impression. What is really there, how it is configured, where the gaps lie between what is believed and what is.

02

Decide

A few things, in the right order. The question is not what could be done, but what should be done first and what can wait safely.

03

Build

Make it work for real, with dates, responsibilities and a way back if something goes wrong. This is where those who only advise stop.

04

Keep it alive

Coverage, updates, intervention. Then return to stage 01, because the ground has moved in the meantime.

The evidence

What we have built.

You will find no names, logos or identifiable sectors here. You will find the scale of what we built and, in many cases, continue to operate across Italy and Europe.

01

Public cloud infrastructure from scratch

Complete Azure and AWS environments for organisations leaving their datacentre or starting from zero: subscriptions, networks, identity, security, deployment automation and cost control.

02

Private cloud in our own datacentre

Virtualisation, storage, backup and connectivity from a carrier-grade Milan datacentre for organisations with data-location or latency requirements.

03

Extending private into public cloud

One identity, a network across both sides, workloads placed where they genuinely make sense and continuity if either side stops.

04

A wide-area network across 150 sites

Connectivity, redundancy, segmentation, central configuration and continuous monitoring at a scale where the problem is governing every site without sending an engineer each time.

05

Equipment for offshore operational infrastructure

Intermittent connectivity, remote maintenance, environmental tolerance and separation between operational and management networks for offshore installations.

06

Infrastructure for companies of 50 to 1,500 people

Continuous development and operation for organisations in Italy and Europe, with or without an internal IT team. We have never replaced the people already there.

07

Infrastructure migrations

Moves between datacentres, on-premise and cloud, cloud providers and post-acquisition consolidations, with downtime windows and rollback paths agreed before work starts.

08

IPv6 addressing for a research centre

An IPv6 plan for next-generation mobile network research: dual stack where compatibility mattered, native IPv6 where the lab required it and security across both.

Capabilities

The work, in one line.

Azure and AWS public cloud · Private cloud · Hybrid environments · Wide-area networks · Cisco routing, switching and firewalls · IPv6 · Servers, SAN and storage · Identity and access · Microsoft Defender · Endpoints · Backup and recovery · Microsoft 365 and Teams · AI readiness · Microsoft CSP licensing · Migrations · GDPR support · Supply-chain and insurance questionnaires

The first step

Three steps, and the first costs nothing.

Step 0 — Diagnosis

One page: your score, a comparison with similar companies and the five main gaps translated into business language with estimated impact and effort.

No access to your systems required. Free of charge.

Step 1 — Assessment

The full picture: identity, devices, mail, data, protection and licensing. Delivered as a workbook, with severity and a remediation plan in priority order.

Read-only account. Fixed price, stated before we start.

Step 2 — Ongoing governance

Periodic measurement compared with the previous period, licensing management, remediation on request and support with compliance or insurance questionnaires.

Recurring fee. You can stop at any step.

Confidentiality

You won’t find a single client name on this site.

This is deliberate. Knowing which companies rely on us for security is itself useful to anyone targeting them: it shows where to look, what tools they use and who to impersonate.

We publish no logos, identifiable case studies or technical detail about the infrastructures we work on. References are provided privately and only after asking the company’s permission.

Let’s talk

One page, no cost, no access to your systems.

Write to us with your company name and a contact. We will reply explaining the one figure needed to start and how to export it — a few minutes of your IT team’s time.
